Effective Communication
Skill Building & Capacity Development (Effective Rights-Based Communication & Storytelling)
This module shows why rights-based communication is “non-negotiable” for caste-affected communities: because power also works through narratives, and vague “charity” framing lets others dismiss caste realities as custom or personal misfortune. It trains participants to communicate harms as violations of dignity, equality, and non-discrimination, identify duty-bearers, and ask for concrete remedies (services, protections, budgets, policy change). Storytelling is taught as the delivery system—using a disciplined structure (Harm → Pattern → Right → Remedy → Next step) that can travel across courts, commissions, media, and UN spaces—supported by clear “laws” of rights communication (purpose, audience, dignity, clarity, consistency), and intergenerational roles for memory, translation into policy/budget asks, verification, and reach.
